A Freedom of Information Act request has uncovered evidence of “a well-orchestrated Islamic propaganda campaign aimed at teachers in school systems throughout Michigan and several other states.”
According to a Thursday report from the Thomas More Law Center, Michigan’s Novi Community Schools District conducted a two-day mandatory seminar for teachers presented by a paid Muslim consultant.
“We found that the teachers were subjected to two-days of Islamic propaganda, where Islam was glorified, Christianity disparaged, and America bashed—all funded by Novi taxpayers,” said Richard Thompson, president and chief counsel of the Thomas More Law Center.
The law center didn’t find any evidence that the school district presented seminars on Christianity, Judaism, or any other religion apart from Islam within the last five years.
Huda Essa, a Dearborn-area resident, was paid $5,000 to conduct the two-day seminar, but wasn’t fully vetted beforehand, according to information obtained in the public records request.
According to Essa’s website, her reach extends far beyond the Novi Community Schools District. In Michigan alone, she lists nine schools districts as clients, including Oakland County Schools, Ann Arbor Schools, L’Anse Creuse Public Schools, Plymouth-Canton Community Schools, Roseville Community Schools, Farmington Public Schools, Dearborn Public Schools, Birmingham Public Schools, and Melvindale Public Schools.
The Thomas More Law Center found that Essa compares Islam to Christianity in her seminars, saying they are “mostly similar.” She claims that the biggest difference between the two is that Islam is the “only purely monotheistic religion.”
In her presentations, she accuses America of “cultural genocide,” claims Muslim women are victims of Islamophobia, suggests Christian scriptures are “corrupted,” and argues that the Koran contains the “pure” word of God.
More than 400 teachers were required to attend the two-day workshop, according to the Thomas More Law Center. Additionally, the center’s Freedom of Information Act request found that Essa was given access to data from student and teacher surveys, and that the school district had “no guidelines” for the selection of presenters.
Essa received $5,000 from the public school for her two-day seminar on August 28 and 29, 2017.
“This type of infiltration amounts to an Islamic Trojan horse within our public-school systems,” Thompson said. “No other religion gets this kind of special treatment in our schools.”

Wow the ignorance of people. You are all Christians? No, your religion does not preach hate and disrespect. Did any of you attend the sessions they are speaking of? The reason for these sessions was to EDUCATE people such as yourselves about another religion which you know nothing about other than what you hear on the media. These teachers may have mindsets like you all and were mistreating young students/children and needed to be educated. Shame on all of you. Women’s Rights, a Leftist talking point, is only used and applied by Leftists, if and when it suits their agenda. Not long ago, March of 2019, there was a dust up over people remarking about Ilhan Omar’s wearing a hijab on the floor of Congress. The Leftists insisted that anyone calling out Muslims for wearing a hijab was a racist; not that apparel or religion is a racist issue.
The exiled Iranian journalist Masih Alinejad was interviewed Oct. 13, 2019, on – Power Player of the Week: Fox News – by Chris Wallace (see attached video link). What is important to recognize in this interview is how Masih Alinejad was driven out of her own nation for standing up for women’s rights. While the abuse of the rights of these women from her home country goes far beyond the imposition of required dress, the hijab has become a symbol of this struggle for their rights.
This interview of Masih Alinejad is important by itself. It has been appropriated here for the purposes of, not only calling out for women’s rights, but also pointing out how seriously the symbolism of dress is taken in other parts of the world.
Ilhan Omar’s waring the hijab on the floor of Congress was questioned, in that, the hijab, beyond apparel, is also a symbol as to the adherence to Sharia Law. You know how symbols can be used, like the American Flag pin worn on the lapel of a jacket, or more controversial a swastika that is not tolerated, and we can both agree should not be worn on the floors of Congress. So, get over the idea that what was being questioned regarding the hijab was the wearer’s race, instead what was being questioned was Omar’s adherence to Sharia Law over the law of the land, that in her oath of office she swore to uphold.
Ilhan Omar’s Oath of office requires, “I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same…”. It is obvious Ilhan Omar has not followed her oath of office by verbally attacking our allies. That the House of Representatives has failed repeatedly to call out Omar by name, and remove her from committees, of which one is the House Foreign Affairs Committee, is a disgrace and an embarrassment to the Congress and the citizens of our Nation.

We have a big problem in this country, we have always allowed cultures coming into and have freedom of speech and freedom of religion. We believe this is going way to far in reference to Islam.If this is really happening in Michigan where the teachers had to do this not only their but other suburbs and cities in Michigan. I have studied about Islam, and a number of other religions. This religion is not good for our country. We also believe that many of their mosques should be looked at and what they are teaching. They do believe nothing like Christianity does, their are other ones who spur out of their mouths sedition. and rebellion against our nation. Their needs to be changes by amendments. I know that Islam is supposed to be a peaceable religion but just look at the countries that have allowed many Muslim’s into their countries. We have nothing against them but we have a very hard time understanding how some of them even supposed to be for America and our Constitution and our Declaration of Independence, and our first 10 amendments to our Constitution which is our Bill of Rights. We don’t agree with what any school system in America really infringe on the Rights of We the People.
Here is all you need to know; Quran (3:56) – “As to those who reject faith, I will punish them with terrible agony in this world and in the Hereafter, nor will they have anyone to help.” Quran (9:14) – “Fight against them so that Allah will punish them by your hands and disgrace them and give you victory over them and heal the breasts of a believing people.” Humiliating and hurting non-believers not only has the blessing of Allah, but it is ordered as a means of carrying out his punishment and even “heals” the hearts of Muslims.
Michigan has become an Islamic state. If you’re not there to fight this, move out. When s**t finally goes down, if you’re a US citizen or a white immigrant, Michigan is the last place you want to be.

It shouldn’t be allowed in our schools let alone paying the presenters. Where are the opposing views in this presentation?
I looked for some smidgen of blame for the Novi School District for arranging this event and requiring teachers to attend. The speaker probably wouldn’t have spoken without an invitation from the School District. I would like to know whether there was local resident outrage at this indoctrination and, if not, why not. Could this be the religious preference of this community?
I live just outside of Novi, Michigan. In fact, I can throw a stone and be in Novi. I do not have kids in the Novi school district. I can speak to the fact that this is not a religious preference for the community. The largest section of Muslims is in Dearborn, MI, which is not too far away.
I can speak to having had children in a Michigan school district. I am not told what the teachers are attending in their continuing education days. I am sure that had I sought it out, they would have provided it. However, it’s not a published thing ahead of time. So, I would venture to guess that parents weren’t told ahead of time. I am not sure if the teachers know ahead of time. I don’t recall seeing anything come across mentioning this, other than this article.
It is very scary what is going on in Michigan though.
Michigan has over a million Muslims in that state. Certain parts of the state, Dearborn and Detroit are mostly Muslims, teachers, doctors, dentist the majority of city officials Muslims. They control and own the state. America screwed up!!
Were the teachers forced to attend this seminar? I would of refused to attend and told them to take it up with my union. This Muslim Islamic BS is getting out of hand in this country and it needs to stop!!!!! Democrats are voting these people into office and they are slowly destroying our country!!!! There are incidents where a community would refuse to rent a community center or a school gymnasium to a church group. Where are all the “separation of church and state” objectors in this example????
